As part of the Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Mela, the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Haflong, hosted an Apprenticeship Mela on its campus on Monday.The event involved about twenty pass-out children from various parts of the Dima Hasao area. Deputy Manager (HR) Ashish Shankar Das of Dalmia Cement Ltd. conducted interviews with candidates in a variety of trades.Many applicants were selected right away and offered the opportunity to begin apprenticeships with the business.
