At least three persons from Assam have lost their lives in the deadly blaze that broke out at a nightclub in Goa on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Rahul Tanti and Manojit Mal of Cachar district and Diganta Patir from Dhemaji, informed Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He also offered condolences to the bereaved families.
“I offer my deep condolences to everyone who embraced tragic death in the fire incident in Goa’s Arpora. I am deeply saddened to hear the news of death of three persons from Assam in this accident,” said Sarma. Altogether 25 people, including four tourists and 14 staff members, were killed in the fire at the nightclub, the Birch by Romeo Lane, on Sunday.
