Three matches of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will be played in Guwahati, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced.
According to the schedule, Rajasthan Royals will play their first three home matches of the season in Guwahati. The first match will be held on March 30 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, where Rajasthan Royals will face Chennai Super Kings.
The second match is scheduled for April 7, when Rajasthan Royals will take on Mumbai Indians. The third match will be played on April 10 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The Assam Cricket Association on Wednesday thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for once again giving Guwahati the opportunity to host matches of one of the world’s most popular T20 leagues.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will begin their pre-season training camp in Jaipur from March 17. The franchise said the players will assemble in Jaipur on that day and start preparations with training, fitness sessions and net practice at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The camp will be conducted under the guidance of head coach and Director of Cricket Kumar Sangakkara, with a focus on strengthening team bonding, intensive training and match strategy, along with strength and fitness sessions.
Earlier, a few players including Ravi Bishnoi, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sandeep Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja had attended a short training and fitness assessment camp at the franchise’s High-Performance Centre in Nagpur. Jadeja and Sam Curran are also expected to join the Jaipur camp.
