Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is focusing on enhancing gender diversity and inclusion in its operations, contributing to its “Skill India Mission.” The company is implementing innovative initiatives to enhance women’s skill set and empower their holistic development, aiming to foster a more inclusive workforce.
TKM has inducted 124 female team members and 55 female leaders into its manufacturing operations, marking a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion, in celebration of International Women’s Day. Commenting on this development, Mr. G. Shankara, Executive Vice President and Director for Finance and Administration said, “We believe that this approach will not only offer them enhanced opportunities in both domestic and international markets but also contribute to producing mass happiness in the society.”
TKM organized a skill contest for female members, marking a new milestone. The contest included diverse skill categories, allowing participants to showcase their expertise in manufacturing processes. Toyota India industry experts evaluated participants based on problem-solving, creativity, and technical skills.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has expanded its Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) in Bidadi, doubling its intake from 600 to 1200 students, including 600 female students. TKM also organized a skill contest for female members, showcasing their expertise across various manufacturing processes.
