On Saturday night, a tragic accident in Assam’s Dima Hasao district resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left four others injured when a passenger van lost control and fell approximately 200 feet down a hillside. The incident, which took place around 9:30 PM on New Haflong Approach Road in the Boro Haflong area under Haflong police jurisdiction, involved a group of vegetable vendors returning from a weekly market in Haflong to Lumding. The collision caused extensive damage to the van. Emergency services arrived promptly to assist, transporting the injured to Haflong Civil Hospital, where one individual is reported to be in critical condition.
