Vi (Vodafone Idea Ltd), one of India’s top telecom operators, has introduced a ₹299 per member add-on feature for its Family Postpaid plans, enhancing plan flexibility and value. The new add-on allows customers to add up to eight secondary members to their existing family plan, each receiving 40GB of high-speed monthly data, unlimited calls, and 200GB data rollover.
This move makes Vi’s offering one of the most competitive in the market, enabling up to nine users under a single plan without shifting to a higher-tier package. For instance, a Vi Max Family ₹701 plan, which initially includes one primary and one secondary connection, can now be extended to include up to seven more members at ₹299 per connection. Higher-tier plans like ₹1201 and ₹1401 allow similar flexibility, with additional lifestyle and OTT benefits such as Amazon Prime, SonyLIV, SwiggyOne, and EazyDiner.
The new feature is expected to attract middle-income families and digitally active households seeking cost-effective, data-rich telecom solutions. Local retailers anticipate a spike in adoption, especially among customers seeking streamlined billing and personalized data usage across family members.
